Baseball Recap: Bellflower Comes Up Short

Bellflower couldn't beat Downey on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Buccaneers fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 6-5. The Buccaneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Bellflower has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Downey, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9.

While Bellflower had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
