Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pike Liberal Arts walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Horseshoe Bend Generals on Thursday as they made off with a 14-1 victory. Considering the Patriots have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Pike Liberal Arts is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-15 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Horseshoe Bend, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-16.
