Volleyball Recap: Murray County Comes Up Short

Murray County lost against Model back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Indians fell 2-0 to the Blue Devils.

While Murray County was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-13.

Kaydence Moses paced Murray County's offense, picking up four kills. Moses got some help from Josie Jones and her five assists. Jones was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Murray County now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Model, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Coming up, Murray County will challenge Coosa on Tuesday. As for Model, they will square off against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
