Soccer Recap: Aspen Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Aspen after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Roaring Fork Rams by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for Aspen in their meetings with Roaring Fork: they've now lost four in a row.

Aspen's goal came courtesy of Emmet Meidar, which was the first he's scored this season.

Aspen's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-4. As for Roaring Fork, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2-1.

Coming up, Aspen will challenge Basalt at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roaring Fork, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Glenwood Springs at 6:00 p.m.
