Volleyball Game Preview: Archbishop Hoban Knights vs. Firestone Falcons

The Archbishop Hoban Knights will challenge the Firestone Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

After dropping their season opener at home, Firestone is headed out to face a Knights squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Archbishop Hoban came up short against Medina on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Archbishop Hoban was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Firestone had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on Steele with a sharp 3-0 win. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Comets recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Firestone walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-17, 25-8, 25-17.

Archbishop Hoban skirted past Firestone 2-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Does Archbishop Hoban have another victory up their sleeve, or will Firestone turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
