Baseball Recap: Immaculate Takes a Loss

Immaculate extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 2-4 in the process. They came up short against the Joel Barlow Falcons, falling 10-2. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Falcons when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Joel Barlow, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.2 runs this season.

For Joel Barlow's part, Kenny Esposito looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, TJ Baer was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Billy Bardani also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Immaculate is set to challenge their familiar foe Bunnell at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Joel Barlow will take on rival Brookfield at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 1.7, the Bobcats 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
