Football Recap: Pickens County Tornadoes vs. Marion County Red Raiders
Pickens County extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 2-8. They took a blow against the Marion County Red Raiders, falling 54-12. The Tornadoes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Despite the loss, Pickens County still got an impressive performance from Kristofer Witherspoon, who picked up 105 receiving yards and one score.
As for Marion County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.7 points over those games.
