Soccer Game Preview: Dexter vs. Greenhills

The Dexter Dreadnaughts will challenge the Greenhills Gryphons at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dexter took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Monroe by a score of 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Greenhills entered their tilt with Detroit Country Day on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Yellowjackets. The win was all the more spectacular given Greenhills' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Detroit Country Day are ranked third).

Dexter's victory bumped their record up to 4-13-1. As for Greenhills, their win bumped their record up to 8-3-1.

Dexter skirted past Greenhills 3-2 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Dreadnaughts repeat their success, or do the Gryphons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
