Baseball Recap: Mount Vernon Takes a Loss

If Mount Vernon was feeling good fresh off their 16-3 takedown of Justice last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Mount Vernon came up short against the Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Wolves on Wednesday, falling 13-2.

Mount Vernon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Grimsley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Talon Camacho was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

Mount Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Saint John Paul the Great Catholic, their record is now 3-5.

Looking ahead, Mount Vernon is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Lewis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saint John Paul the Great Catholic, they will host Our Lady of Good Counsel at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
