Volleyball Recap: New Haven Takes a Loss

New Haven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Heritage Patriots. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Patriots when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-10.

New Haven's offense was headlined by Aniyah Simmerman and Natalie Roth, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Avary Vincenski and her 15 assists. Sophia DuBose controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

New Haven's loss dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Heritage, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

New Haven didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against DeKalb on the 7th. As for Heritage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian on the 7th.
