J.L. Mann never let their opponents score on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets, sneaking past 1-0. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Yellow Jackets last Tuesday, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Not much got past Josh Carlson, who gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks to keep T.L. Hanna off the board. Carlson also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because J.L. Mann is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaido Greene, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

J.L. Mann is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for T.L. Hanna, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-4.
