Humboldt won the last time they faced Prairie View and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cubs came out on top against the Buffalos by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cubs.

While Humboldt won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-14.

Ricklyn Hillmon paced Humboldt's offense, picking up nine kills. Hillmon got some help from Lakyn Meadows and her 13 assists. Meadows was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Humboldt's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Prairie View, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Humboldt will welcome Oswego at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Prairie View, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Midway at 5:00 p.m.
