Soccer Game Preview: Jenison vs. Reeths-Puffer

Jenison is 1-9 against Reeths-Puffer since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Wildcats will head out to challenge the Rockets at 6:45 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Jenison's offense. They lost 4-0 to Mona Shores on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Jenison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Mona Shores are ranked 114th).

Meanwhile, Reeths-Puffer also failed to score in their most recent game. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Byron Center on Tuesday. Reeths-Puffer haven't had much luck with Byron Center recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Jenison's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Reeths-Puffer, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-1.

Jenison might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from Reeths-Puffer in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
