Baseball Recap: Renaissance Comes Up Short

Renaissance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Berkley Bears. The Phoenix were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bears from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Renaissance saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Jones, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was Jones' first of the season.

Renaissance's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Berkley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-15-1.

Coming up, Renaissance is taking a road trip to challenge River Rouge at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Berkley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Bloomfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
