The Hampton Roads Academy Navigators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Steward 73-31. Hampton Roads Academy has struggled against Steward recently, as their match on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Steward's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was LJ Vaughan, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vaughan has scored all season. Donovan Richardson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with two steals.
Hampton Roads Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Steward, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.
Hampton Roads Academy will be playing at home against Summit Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Summit Christian Academy is hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses. As for Steward, they will head out on the road to take on Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
