Volleyball Recap: Southwest Onslow Takes a Loss

Southwest Onslow came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Jacksonville Cardinals. The defeat continues a trend for the Stallions in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost nine in a row.

Southwest Onslow was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14, 25-15.

Southwest Onslow's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Jacksonville, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Southwest Onslow will square off against Richlands at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jacksonville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Northside - Jacksonville on the 13th.
