Recap: Emporia Spartans vs. Topeka Trojans
The Emporia Spartans won the last time they faced the Topeka Trojans, and things went their way on Friday too. Emporia came out on top against Topeka by a score of 58-49. The win made it back-to-back wins for Emporia.
River Peters continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nolan Jacob, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Emporia has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Topeka, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
Emporia will head out on the road to square off against Manhattan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Emporia focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
