Basketball Recap: New Town Comes Up Short

New Town was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-57 back in January.

New Town's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Des Lacs-Burlington, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-6.

New Town does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Des Lacs-Burlington, they will square off against Rugby at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Rugby will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Des Lacs-Burlington surely won't give up without a fight.
