Baseball Recap: St. Paul's Prep Takes a Loss

St. Paul's Prep was the 4-1 winner over Harvest Christian Academy when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions came up short against the Saints on Thursday, falling 13-3. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Paul's Prep saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mateo Talavera, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. Talavera has become a key player for the Lions: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise.

St. Paul's Prep's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, St. Paul's Prep will face off against Christian Life Preparatory at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Coram Deo Academy Rhetoric at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
