Lumberton is 8-2 against Sacred Heart since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Lumberton Panthers will host the Sacred Heart Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lumberton will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Resurrection Catholic, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Lumberton had just enough and edged Resurrection Catholic out 43-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart came into Tuesday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Salem 65-27. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Crusaders had established a 21 point advantage.

Sacred Heart's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8. As for Lumberton, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Lumberton came up short against Sacred Heart when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 50-42. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Sacred Heart's Raider Williams, who posted 27 points along with five boards and three steals.
