Basketball Recap: Tampa Bay Tech Comes Up Short

Tampa Bay Tech managed to keep up with Wharton until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Tampa Bay Tech Titans came up short against the Wharton Wildcats, falling 63-41. The Titans have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Tampa Bay Tech still got an impressive performance from Evan Clark, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 22 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zayden Martin, who posted six points.

Nick Womack was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 27 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists for Wharton. The dominant performance gave Womack a new career-high in boards. Tysen Jefferson was another key player, going 6 of 9 on his way to 13 points.

Tampa Bay Tech's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Wharton, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
