Soccer Game Preview: East Lansing vs. Haslett

East Lansing hasn't had much luck against Haslett recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Trojans will head out to challenge the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

East Lansing took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Okemos, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans' defense stepped up to hand Wolves a 1-0 shutout on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for East Lansing.

Meanwhile, Haslett fell victim to Mason and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. Haslett have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Lansing's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four games. As for Haslett, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2-2.

East Lansing might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Haslett in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
