Football Game Preview: Northern Cambria Colts vs. Conemaugh Township Indians

Northern Cambria has gone a perfect 3-0 against Conemaugh Township recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Colts will host the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Northern Cambria will be strutting in after a win while Conemaugh Township will be coming in after a defeat.

On Saturday, Northern Cambria didn't have too much trouble with Penns Manor as they won 27-10. The victory continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won five in a row.

Levi Czar went supernova, rushing for 130 yards and a pair of scores. Those 130 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Conemaugh Township came up short against Cambria Heights on Friday and fell 34-26. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Highlanders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Northern Cambria will need to focus on slowing down Greyson Studer, one of several Conemaugh Township players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 129 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 83 yards. Studer's passing game has become a key predictor of Conemaugh Township's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise. Brennan Lohr was in the mix too, providing the Indians with two TDs.

The win got Northern Cambria back to even at 4-4. As for Conemaugh Township, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-4.
