Basketball Recap: Mid-Pacific Institute Takes a Loss

If Mid-Pacific Institute was feeling good fresh off their 46-23 takedown of Pearl City last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The game between the Mid-Pacific Institute Owls and the Hawaii Baptist Academy Eagles didn't end well, with the Mid-Pacific Institute Owls falling 44-26. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Hawaii basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Eagles are ranked fifth).

Mid-Pacific Institute's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Hawaii Baptist Academy, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mid-Pacific Institute will be home for the holidays to greet Damien at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hawaii Baptist Academy, they will welcome Hanalani at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
