Basketball Recap: Wando Comes Up Short

Wando and Summerville squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Wando had to settle for second. The game between them and the Summerville Green Wave didn't end well, with the Wando Warriors falling 64-49. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured nine losses in a row.

Despite the defeat, Wando saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sully Templeton went 6-for-12 to rack up 14 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Kaden Ealahan, who posted ten points.

Even though they lost, Wando smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Wando's loss dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Summerville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Wando does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Summerville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-60 victory against Ashley Ridge on the 19th.
