Softball Recap: Santa Rosa Academy Drops Season-High Score on Temecula Prep

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Santa Rosa Academy). They put the hurt on the Temecula Prep Patriots with a sharp 24-9 victory on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Rangers as they're now sitting on six straight.

Lisa Marie Cante was a standout: she scored four runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Isabella Carclean also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Santa Rosa Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .767. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Santa Rosa Academy's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11 runs. As for Temecula Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
