Volleyball Recap: Frontier Regional Victorious

While Frontier Regional's win against Putnam Vo-Tech wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Hawks had just enough and edged out the Beavers 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Red Hawks in their matchups with the Beavers: they've now won four in a row.

Frontier Regional was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-19, 23-25, 23-25, 25-16, 15-9.

Their offense was headlined by Tegan Dexter and William Reading, who picked up 18 kills apiece. They got some help from Tavo Vincent-Warner and his 46 assists. William Petrin controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Frontier Regional's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Putnam Vo-Tech, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Looking ahead, Frontier Regional will head out on the road to square off against Pioneer Valley Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Putnam Vo-Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
