Baseball Recap: Bishop Machebeuf Takes a Loss

Bishop Machebeuf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Mary's Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-5 on Thursday.

Bishop Machebeuf saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miles Edgar, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Bishop Machebeuf's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for St. Mary's, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Machebeuf will face off against Rocky Mountain Lutheran at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rocky Mountain Lutheran will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Bishop Machebeuf surely won't give up without a fight. As for St. Mary's, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Lamar at 11:00 a.m.
