Softball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Eastside

Eastside had won eight straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped their record up to 13-3 to make it nine. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Central Noble Cougars. Considering the Blazers have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Central Noble, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the four matches prior), but Eastside's pitchers proved too tough.

For Central Noble's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Swank, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Nevaeh Schoup also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Eastside is set to square off against their familiar foe Churubusco at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Central Noble will take on rival Fairfield at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
