Another player making a difference was Trey Bird, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards.

Thomas County Central's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Veterans, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.
