Recap: Jefferson Dragons vs. Freedom Patriots

After flying high against the Dunedin Falcons last Tuesday, the Jefferson Dragons came back down to earth. Jefferson suffered a rough 52-30 loss at the hands of the Patriots on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jefferson has scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Jefferson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lazzaro Ford. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Hiraldo, who scored six points.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Freedom, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

Jefferson is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Florida (Lennard is ranked 510th, while the Dragons are ranked 499th). As for Freedom, they will be playing at home against the Bulls at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bloomingdale is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
