Softball Recap: Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Triumphs

The Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions beat the St. Mary's Knights 7-3 on Saturday.

Hadley English made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. English was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

English wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Abrams, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Hannah DeBake, who scored two runs and stole two bases.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for St. Mary's, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Pusch Ridge Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 6-2 loss against Bourgade Catholic on the 22nd. As for St. Mary's, they will take on Marcos de Niza at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Marcos de Niza's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so St. Mary's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
