Volleyball Recap: Durango Comes Up Short

Durango was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans. The Trailblazers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

Durango's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Cimarron-Memorial, they moved to 3-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Durango is taking a road trip to take on Palo Verde at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cimarron-Memorial, they will be taking part in a tournament against Sierra Vista at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
