Volleyball Recap: St. Monica Comes Up Short

St. Monica lost against University back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mariners came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-23.

Despite the loss, St. Monica saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brody Bentzler had 13 assists.

St. Monica's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for University, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

St. Monica didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against West on the 29th. As for University, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Rialto on the 29th.
