Soccer Recap: Divine Savior Academy Comes Up Short

Divine Savior Academy managed to keep up with Immaculata-La Salle until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Divine Savior Academy Sharks might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions an easy 6-0 victory. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 355th, while the Royal Lions are ranked 105th).

Divine Savior Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Immaculata-La Salle, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Divine Savior Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Avant Garde Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Immaculata-La Salle, they will be home for the holidays to greet Coral Shores at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Immaculata-La Salle is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.
