Recap: Clear Falls Knights vs. King Panthers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Clear Falls Knights can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 37-20 to King. Clear Falls' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Clear Falls still got an impressive performance from Landon Vessel, who rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Vessel was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards.
Darius Clark-James was his usual excellent self, throwing for 183 yards and four touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Vincent Jones, who picked up 47 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Clear Falls' loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for King, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3.
Clear Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now. King is on the road again on Friday and play against Fort Bend Hightower at 10:00 a.m. on November 24th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Fort Bend Hightower is ranked 49th, while King is ranked 36th).
