Soccer Game Preview: Mountain View vs. Mark Keppel

The Mountain View Vikings and the Mark Keppel Aztecs will compete for holiday cheer at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Mountain View's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Mark Keppel has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Last Thursday, Mountain View had just enough and edged South El Monte out 3-2.

Meanwhile, Mark Keppel came up short against Santa Fe on Friday and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Aztecs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 871st, while the Chiefs are ranked 145th).

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 7-3-2. As for Mark Keppel, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-2.

Mountain View beat Mark Keppel by a goal in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 1-0. Does Mountain View have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mark Keppel turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
