Volleyball Recap: Cambridge Wins Going Away Against Bishop Rosecrans

Cambridge's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Bishop Rosecrans Bishops with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Bishops: they've now won four in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cambridge took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-7, 25-15.

Bailey Anderson paced Cambridge's offense, picking up 20 kills. Anderson got some help from Gwen Jefferis and her 25 assists. Mariska Gray and Paisley Williams kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Cambridge now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Bishop Rosecrans, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Cambridge and Bishop Rosecrans could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Bobcats (ranked 346th) will meet Martins Ferry (ranked 169th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Bishop Rosecrans will face off against Grove City Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (602 vs. 262).
