Basketball Recap: Tree of Life Christian Trojans vs. Wellington School Jaguars

The Tree of Life Christian Trojans won the last time they faced the Wellington School Jaguars, and things went their way on Friday too. Tree of Life Christian managed a 55-49 victory over the Jaguars. With that victory, Tree of Life Christian brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.

Tree of Life Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Sanders, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Waters, who scored seven points along with two steals.

When it comes to explaining why Wellington School lost, one person who can't be blamed is Malcolm Wade. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with three steals. Wade is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Michael Adams, who scored 11 points.

The victory makes it two in a row for Tree of Life Christian and bumps their season record up to 11-5. As for Wellington School, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tree of Life Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Flames at 5:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Shekinah Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 12 games. As for Wellington School, they will head out on the road to square off against the Knights at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
