Softball Recap: Bonita Springs Takes a Loss

Bonita Springs and Barron Collier squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Bonita Springs had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 17-9. The Bullsharks' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Ariana Bandera was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Magnuson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Bonita Springs' loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Barron Collier, they pushed their record up to 11-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Bonita Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Barron Collier, they will challenge Naples at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
