Soccer Recap: Carmel Christian Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Carmel Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They never let the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Tuesday. Lucy Grow had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Carmel Christian.

Carmel Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five games. Charlotte Country Day School's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carmel Christian will head out to square off against Rabun Gap-Nacoochee at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Carmel Christian's defense better be ready for this one: Rabun Gap-Nacoochee has averaged an impressive 2.6 goals per game this season. As for Charlotte Country Day School, they will head out on the road to challenge Ravenscroft at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
