Recap: Bastrop Rams vs. Richwood Rams
The Bastrop Rams put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Richwood 47-22. Bastrop has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 22 games by 20 points or more this season.
Leading Bastrop to victory were Mariah Heard and Jameiah Peoples. Heard scored 15 points, while Peoples scored 16 points.
Bastrop's victory was their 15th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 28-0. As for Richwood, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-15 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bastrop won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Sterlington at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Sterlington is ranked 49th, while Bastrop is ranked 25th). As for Richwood, they will head out on the road to challenge Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
