Basketball Game Preview: Desert Hills Thunder vs. Hurricane Tigers + Official Tickets

For the first time this season, Desert Hills will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to square off against the Hurricane Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hurricane took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Desert Hills, who comes in off a win.

Desert Hills is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 67-43 margin over Logan on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Hurricane came up short against Ridgeline on Saturday and fell 56-46. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Desert Hills will have to keep a close watch on Brigham Kemp and Clyde Berrett, a pair of players who had a big impact on Hurricane's prior game. Kemp went 8-for-19 en route to 23 points in addition to eight steals and five assists, while Berrett almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. With that strong performance, Berrett is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game.

Desert Hills' victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2. As for Hurricane, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 4-2.

Desert Hills couldn't quite get it done against Hurricane when the teams last played back in January as they fell 62-49. Can the Thunder avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
