Basketball Recap: Appoquinimink Takes a Loss

Appoquinimink was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials 65-32.

Plymouth Whitemarsh found their leader in freshman Grace Harvey, who posted 14 points and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harvey has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Eliza Meersman, who earned nine points and five rebounds.

Appoquinimink's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Appoquinimink will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on William Penn at 5:15 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, they will challenge Abington at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Plymouth Whitemarsh has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 181 points over their last three matchups.
