Soccer Game Preview: Dominguez vs. Mayfair

The Dominguez Dons will challenge the Mayfair Monsoons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, Dominguez needed a bit of extra time to put away Firebaugh. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Falcons, sneaking past 4-3. Marlon Ayala Mejia was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Mayfair was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Bellflower could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 4-4 draw.

Dominguez's win bumped their record up to 10-1-1. Mayfair's draw gives them a new season record of 8-8-1.

Dominguez came out on top in a nail-biter against Mayfair in their previous matchup on January 8th, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Dons repeat their success, or do the Monsoons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
