Volleyball Recap: Piedmont Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Piedmont duked it out with Anson on Monday. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Bearcats. The Panthers have struggled against the Bearcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

While Piedmont had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 21-25, 25-19.

Piedmont now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Anson, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.

Coming up, Piedmont will be playing in front of their home fans against Charlotte Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Anson, they will head out on the road to face off against Forest Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
