Volleyball Recap: Colusa Comes Up Short

Colusa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monrovia Wildcats.

Colusa's offense was headlined by Peyton Miller and Cecelia Mitchum, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Cindel Oliver and her seven assists.

Colusa's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Monrovia, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Colusa will be playing at home against Willows at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the RedHawks their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Monrovia, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Gahr on the 6th.
