Volleyball Recap: Audrey Smith and Journey Lamb Secure Win for Key West

Key West can bid farewell to their four-match losing streak thanks to their match on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Reagan Bison. The Conchs were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Bison, so the Conchs were just returning the favor.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Key West was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-7.

Key West was led to victory by Journey Lamb and Audrey Smith. Lamb had ten digs and one assist, while Smith hit 77.8% for seven kills and four digs and three blocks. Those 77.8% hitting percentage gave Smith a new career-high.

Key West's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Reagan, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

Key West will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Marathon at 5:00 p.m. on the 7th. As for Reagan, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Mourning on the 29th.
