Basketball Recap: South Gallia Victorious

South Gallia won the last time they faced River Valley and things went their way on Saturday too. The South Gallia Rebels came out on top against the River Valley Raiders by a score of 61-53.

When it comes to explaining why River Valley lost, don't look at Landon Burns. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards. Burns continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Austin Richardson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.

South Gallia's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for River Valley, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

South Gallia will host Eastern at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for River Valley, they will take on Federal Hocking at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. River Valley is facing Federal Hocking at the right time seeing as Federal Hocking is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
