Middletown is a perfect 8-0 against Upper Lake since August of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mustangs will face off against the Cougars at 6:15 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Middletown and seven for Upper Lake.

Middletown is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Kelseyville on Tuesday. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Knights.

Meanwhile, Upper Lake lost 6-2 to Roseland Collegiate Prep on Tuesday.

Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Upper Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Everything went Middletown's way against Upper Lake in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Middletown made off with a 12-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
